I think I take his point. He is not saying that there is no truth. He is saying that in this world of treachery and evil, there are those who believe there is no truth or try to make others believe it, so as to cast doubt on the fact that truth is immutable. I believe that there is an objective truth, and ideas, concepts, or even science that are contradictory cannot all be true. It is up to us as decent humans to work to find that truth, in spite of those who would like us to believe that there are many truth. Truth by definition is singular, absolute, and objective.
