Me resulta curioso el gesto de avidez que todos tenemos al leer la prensa escrita. Parece que nos fueran a contar algo nuevo, algo distinto a lo de ayer. Pero muy pocas veces ocurre eso, y cuando ocurre, suele ser para peor.
There is an old Italian proverb that says, " No news is good news ", and yet, as the man in your photo, I am of an age of those who read the papers with gusto. As he is doing, I begin to read as I walk out of the shop. When I walk by a news stand, I try to read headlines. I love this photo, because it speaks to who I am. Among the old Jewish comics, there is a joke, " I read the obituaries every day to see if my name is there. " I guess if it is not, that could be considered good news. Big Hugs Dear Friend.
